YOUR CIRCLE · YOUR CHOICE
Your social life belongs to you.
ClearCircle is a separate consumer social experience from ClearBuild's professional tools. You can connect with friends, share places and give feedback without automatically contributing your private social life to ClearBuild research.
The core promise
Private social activity is not a ClearBuild learning source. Friends-only posts, friendship lists, account details, comments, reactions, saved places and personal social activity are used to operate ClearCircle, not silently fed into ClearBuild research.
The only review data that may remain after you shred your page
And only when you explicitly choose it.
When you write a public restaurant or retail/brand review, there is a separate optional choice to contribute that feedback to future consumer research. If you select it, ClearCircle creates a separate research record containing the place or brand, category, a coarse area when safe to retain, the feedback text after basic contact-detail scrubbing, and the review month.
This beta keeps the research copy in ClearCircle's separate database and owner control panel. It is not yet connected to ClearBuild's main database. Any future connection must be a separate, purpose-limited data flow.
How ClearCircle relates to ClearBuild
How ClearCircle relates to ClearBuild: with your explicit consent, public ideas you've chosen to share for research may be included in aggregate, multi-contributor reports (never fewer than five contributors) that help ClearBuild understand what people love about local places. Your name, contact details, friend graph, private messages, and private posts are never shared. You can change your research consent at any time.
Take your information with you
Download a password-protected, encrypted archive.
From your profile, you can request an export after re-entering your account password. Your browser encrypts the archive on your own device using AES-256-GCM with a passphrase you choose. ClearCircle does not receive that passphrase. The downloadable .ccvault file can be unlocked later using the local vault opener—even after your account is gone.
Open the encrypted-vault tool →Shred your social page
No long retention period for your active social account.
From your profile, you can enter your password and type SHRED to confirm. For a normal member, ClearCircle removes the account and all active social records linked to it—including posts, comments, reactions, friend links, saved places, reports, profile and login records. The deletion is applied to the active database as one transaction; if it fails, the page will not claim that shredding succeeded.
The only social feedback that may remain is the public review data you previously and explicitly opted into research. After shredding, the retained copy has no account identifier or link back to you. Because it is deliberately separated, ClearCircle won't be able to identify a particular retained review as yours afterward. You may contact the app owner about a research record before shredding, or the owner can delete a retained record from the control panel.
What “encrypted” means here
We won't promise more than the product actually does.
The downloadable .ccvault archive is encrypted locally before it is saved to your device. It is separate from end-to-end encryption for live conversations. ClearCircle does not provide end-to-end encrypted messaging; don't send anything through the app that requires that guarantee.
Use ClearCircle on your terms.
Enjoy recommendations with friends, decide whether to share a public review, keep an encrypted copy of your information, or shred your social page whenever you choose.
